What is an explorer's greatest fear?
What is an explorer's greatest fear? There are only two that I can see.
The first is the exhaustion of what can be discovered in the universe. For an explorer, a curious person, this is like dying. Goals, purposes, everything runs out. But when it comes to the vastness of the universe, fear never enters an explorer's mind.
The second is that he died with a lot of questions in his mind, a never-ending curiosity and a desire to learn.
This should not be confused with the fear of death. Because people dream of death.Even when they are dead, they still imagine themselves existing in a completely dark void, and in fact, at this point, they cannot even imagine being dead.
The real fear is that it won't happen in those moments when so many discoveries were made. The universe continues, but the consciousness that fostered this curiosity and passion for learning no longer exists. Whether atoms that don't represent it will persist in other living things, stars, or planets is of no concern to it.
The delusion and illusion called "I" are not these atoms. They are the unity formed by neurons in a certain sequence and the electric current that flows within this unity. This may be the most fundamental definition we've reached so far, at least.
Explorer. Why did I use that definition? I could have also said scientist. But a person doesn't have to be a scientist to be an explorer. At least not to a certain extent. Because curiosity is at the heart of exploration. Everything revolves around this curiosity, and it produces consequences.
Yet we know scientists whose curiosity has died down. Should we really call them scientists?
What is it that makes me write like this after so many years?
Most probably, in a year and a half, I have achieved what almost no other person has been able to achieve, and I have ensured the continuity of Atheist Magazine, which has perhaps the highest quality content in Türkiye, success and achievements…
The insights I've developed through years of accumulated knowledge, confidence, courage, and passion for learning. With this insight, I know what I can achieve in the future.
In addition, it allows me to rewrite the emotional intensity that this song was able to evoke in me after all these years.
