Apollo 11 Moon Landing Site

Have you ever seen a panoramic photo from an extraterrestrial location? This photo was created using high-resolution scans of the original film frames. It transports us to the magnificent solitude of the Sea of Tranquility, the site of the Apollo 11 Moon landing. The photograph, taken by Neil Armstrong from the window of the Lunar Module's Eagle compartment and forming the far left portion of this panoramic view, was the first human-made panoramic photo of Earth […]

New Photos from Rosetta

This image is a composite of four images taken by the Rosetta spacecraft on December 14th, when it was 19.4 km above the center of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. If we calculate the resolution of the image to a realistic level, each pixel measures 1.66 meters. Rosetta scientists have decided to name the large area at the comet's center Imhotep. You know, after the ancient Egyptian god. A pyramid was once found on the comet […]

Three Years of the Sun in Three Minutes

NASA scientists have combined data from three years of observations of the Sun from the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) to create a stunning video. Using two images for each day of the Sun, they created a three-minute video covering 1095 days. You can see that the video shows random solar flares, and that these flares become even more intense during the peak solar maximum.

Geminid Meteor over Mount Balang

This is a memorable image. A few days ago, during observations of the Geminids meteor shower on Mount Balang in China, a meteor was observed entering the atmosphere. In the foreground, a sea of fog streaks down the mountainside, while in the upper right corner of the sky, the constellation Orion and the famous three-star belt of Orion are visible. Sirius, the brightest star, is visible in the center of the photograph. […]

Wanderers Short Film – Erik Wernquist

How far will humanity go in space exploration? If this short film is an accurate prediction for the future, at worst, we'll be exploring our own star system. This short film, created by Erik Wernquist, showcases the explorations and journeys humanity can make within our star system. Humans soar through the rings of Saturn, Jupiter being studied from a nearby spacecraft, and Bengue jumps from Uranus' low-gravity moon […]

Andromeda Galaxy

Hello everyone again. I haven't been able to focus on this site for about a month and a half. I haven't been able to write even a single short article. I've had to take time off due to some work-related issues. Actually, I'm still not fully available. I'm improving my web development skills. But I know I can't leave this place idle. I plan to continue writing articles, though not as much as I used to. If I can achieve my goal of freelancing, I'll have plenty of time to dedicate to this […]
