New Photos from Rosetta
This image is a composite of four photographs taken by the Rosetta spacecraft on December 14, when it was 19.4 km above the center of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. If we were to translate the resolution of the image into reality, each pixel would be 1.66 meters.
Rosetta scientists decided to name the large area at the comet's center Imhotep. You know, after the ancient Egyptian god. I think they named it Imhotep for fun because the silly press (including internationally) was making a fuss about the pyramid being found on the comet.
