Aurora and Earth from the International Space Station in 4K Resolution

This video was created by Alexander Gerst on the International Space Station. He is one of 40 crew members on the International Space Station and has been in orbit for five and a half months.

The video was assembled using photos taken every second at a resolution of 4256 x 2832. This high resolution allowed the ESA team to create the video at 3840 x 2160, or 4K resolution.

The video plays at 25 screenshots per second, 25 times faster than what astronauts in orbit see.
