Science Education for All – World Science U
While following my regular news today, I came across a headline like this.
"Want to learn about special relativity or the basics of physics? Now you can."
It sounds like a marketing mantra, but with Brian Greene in the picture, things changed. I went to the website in the picture and signed up. The content brought tears to my eyes. Besides being a brilliant physicist, this man has also developed a truly remarkable project to contribute to the advancement of humanity, something I personally strive for. I'll provide the address at the end of the article.
I want to say this: This is a website that allows you to learn science, regardless of your level of knowledge (basic computer skills, the four basic operations, and literacy are essential). It was designed and shaped for this purpose. But of course, our people need to know something else in addition: English. In fact, knowing English will be a tool for gaining knowledge not only in this area but in many other areas. So, even if you don't have this, please learn English.
"Knowledge is power. Guard it well."
When you become a member of the site (you can see the main categories even if you are not a member), there are 3 categories to choose from.
Science Unplugged – First Category
In this first category, you'll find short answers to a lot of questions and short informative videos. It's very entertaining. The videos I watched were all narrated by Brian Greene. I'm assuming he narrates all of them, but I'm not sure. You don't need to be a member to explore this site. You can explore it without a membership.
Short Courses – Second Category
This is described as a 2-3 week hermit. There's also no homework :) There are 3 sections here.
- Space, Time, and Einstein. Here, Brian Greene explains special relativity.
- Warps, Curves. I can't quite translate that. Ultimately, these two terms mean distortions and bends in space-time. Here, Brian Greene explains his theory of general relativity.
- Invisible Reality. And here he explains quantum mechanics.
I started the first episode as a trial run. I came across a YouTube video narrated by Brian Greene. If you're having trouble understanding the dialogue, the English video has English subtitles. You can also listen while reading.
University Courses – Third Category
This is the highest level of training. It says it's an 8-10 week course. It also says it's for those who take it seriously. It essentially covers the same three topics, but the difference is that it's taught with a mathematical base. Considering that I want to learn this way, it will be very useful.
For my own perspective, I'll start with short courses and move on to the final level. If, like me, you're looking to learn and advance in these areas, this is the perfect site for you.

Thank you :) I wanted to share this article on Facebook but I couldn't find it.
